PLEASE HELP POOR CAJUN!

Poor Cajun cannot catch a break. This sweet boy came to us over a year ago...He was traveling with his owner who was on vacation from Minnesota. There was a car crash, and when the police arrived - they found that Cajun's owner had warrants out, so they took him to jail and Cajun to doggie jail (our shelter). Well - Cajun's Dad was supposed to come pick up Cajun when he was released from jail - but he never showed. He went on his way home and left Cajun in a shelter. That does not seem quite fair - does it?

Of course, Cajun tested positive for heartworm - and a wonderful doggie angel donated towards his treatment - but we never were able to find Cajun an indoor foster home to undergo treatment...so he has been living outside in the country with some of our other pups, waiting for someone to foster him through treatment.


A few weeks ago - Cajun's foster family noticed he was limping...a trip to the vet revealed cancer in his front leg. Now this sweet boy has had his leg amputated to stop the spread of the cancer and is recovering at the vet's office.


CAJUN NEEDS AN INDOOR FOSTER HOME RIGHT NOW. Please help him. He cannot go recover living outside from a surgery like this one. Additionally - he still needs to undergo heartworm treatment.


Cajun may not be the most handsome dog - but he is such a sweetheart. He does not cause any trouble at all. All he needs is a soft bed and a quiet foster home. He has so much love to give. He has been sharing a pen with two female dogs and a younger male dog - but is not able to be in a high activity home right now.

CHLOE & MANDY STILL NEED YOUR HELP...

Meet Chloe & Mandy...two young girls who we believe to be sisters ... that need your help!

Chloe and Mandy showed up as strays at a woman's house. Two more throw away dogs. The woman who found them called us for help - how could we turn away these two beautiful, happy girls?

Chloe immediately gave birth to a litter of puppies. Mandy followed with her litter - shortly thereafter...two, young sisters are mothers together...They have both been good mommas, nursing and keeping their puppies clean.

Luckily, a rescue group has stepped up to take the pups once they are old enough...but we need your help in order to get Chloe and Mandy onto the new lives they both deserve.

Unfortunately, both Chloe and Mandy have tested postive for Heartworm (these two seem to do everything together). Estimated treatment costs are $300/dog. We have raised $120 so far - but need $480 more to treat them.



We cannot send them to rescue until they have undergone treatment. Please consider donating $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00 towards their treatment.

MEET NEWBIE KIKI

Meet adorable Kiki! This girl desperately needs a foster home. She is a happy-go-lucky little gal who longs for affection. Kiki appears to be a Pomeranian around 2-3 years old. She likes to ride in the car and seems to get along with other dogs too! Please consider taking her in for a little while so we can search for her perfect home!

MEET NEWBIE STEVIE GIRL!

Meet Stevie Girl! She and her brother, Jerry, were surrendered by their owner to the City Animal Shelter. They are about a year and a half and are typical Lab mixes who long for a place to call home.

These 2 are having to live in cages at the vet clinic nearly 24 hours a day. They were taken to the vet to be spayed/neutered because they had a foster home, but sadly the foster home fell through (they have been there now for a month or so). Stevie Girl and Jerry are also heartworm positive and could use some doggy angels to help them with funding for treatment. They also have an outstanding medical bill and boarding costs. Please consider fostering these two!

MEET NEWBIE JERRY (STEVIE'S BROTHER)

Meet Jerry! Isn't he a beautiful boy?! Jerry is a typical Lab mix who just wants to romp and play. He will make a great companion if someone would give him a chance!

LARGE ITEMS NEEDED FOR YARD SALE FUNDRAISER!

HELP!!! PAWS of MARION needs larger items/highly desirable items for their upcoming YARD SALE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3rd! 100% of the profits from the donated items will go to help pay our enormous vet bills. Without help, we cannot continue to save these precious lives.

If you can drop off items in West Memphis that would be fabulous, but we will pick them up on the weekend as well (within 25 miles or so from downtown Memphis). All donations are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE!

BO GETS A SECOND (THIRD?) CHANCE

Wonderful Bo - who has been in and out of our care for almost a year now - is finally on his way to a new life. For such a sweet, gentle soul, Bo has been through the ringer - dumped at our shelter, stolen, recovered, adopted out and returned for no good reason other than we suspect the husband really wanted a hunting dog (which Bo is not and we told him that from the get go.)

On Thursday, headed off to rescue in Maine - Lucky boy! Where he has a forever home waiting. We know his adoptive family will fall in love with him immediately - as Bo is full of love, well-behaved, and calm. We have nothing but good things to say about this boy - who has been passed around just one too many time.

Good luck Bo! We hope that this is your last transition ever and that you can finally live the life that you deserve.
