PLEASE CHECK BACK

Please check back soon for more pictures of NUMEROUS NEW ARRIVALS. Our volunteer photographer has been out of town for over a week and wouldn't you know it we literally had over 15 new dogs come in! Needless to say, she is trying very hard to update some pictures and post the new arrivals. We have so many adorable puppies (Hound mixes, Border Collie mixes, etc) of all ages so feel free to come by the shelter to have a look in the meantime. Thank you for your patience and support. PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING so the pups don't have to live outside!

Please Consider Saving One Of Our Longterm Residents

We consider ourselves to be a low-kill shelter. Our goal is to give every dog in our care a chance at a loving home. Not all dogs are small, cute, fluffy puppies - but every homeless shelter dog deserves a chance. Please consider adopting one of our longer term residents. They will be loyal companions who will repay your kindness 100 times over.

Below are some of our dogs that have been sitting in the shelter, waiting for a kind-hearted soul to rescue them and show them that goodness does exist. They have been overlooked - not because they are "bad" dogs - but because they may be a little larger, a little older, dark in color, not purebred, or just not puppies...Please give them a chance.

MEET NEWBIE SHELLY

You have to admit I'm pretty darn cute! My name is Shelly and I'm about 4 months old. I came in with another pup, but she was lucky and was taken to a foster home. I adore attention from people and I don't mind cats at all. Can you take me with you?

THE AIR IS WORKING NOW! YEAHHHH!!!! All of the dogs are incredibly happy (not a peep out of them once it started working). Thanks again to those who have helped make this miracle happen!

YEAH! WE'RE GOING TO RESCUE!

Dexter (black lab/border collie mix), Phoebe (lab/coonhound mix), and Alyssa (rottie mix) are going to their forever homes this week! We are so happy that they will be so loved and cherished! We'll post pictures again as we receive them! We can't stress enough how important it is to have foster homes so these guys can get out!

CREWS ARE HARD AT WORK

We apologize for the delay in posts (no internet service in the last week). Just wanted to update everyone: Thanks to PARAGON, INC., of Marion, an air conditioner has been donated along with the labor for installation. The duct work is being completed by Standard Sheet Metal of West Memphis. Crews have worked daily on a volunteer basis and we can't express how much we appreciate it. THANK YOU TO ALL THE FOSTER FAMILIES who have taken dogs into their homes during this time. As a small shelter, we are still in need of foster families. This helps tremendously because it makes the dogs more "desirable" and "adoptable" when we can provide more information about their personalities, etc. Please bear with us during this time as we work to update everyone on the current situation as well as post new arrivals. Call Joan at 870-739-1145 or Allison at 901-240-9848 if you can help in any way. Please be patient as we are just volunteers. Again, foster families and adopters need to have a fenced in yard in most cases in order to be considered, so please keep that in mind.
