ZOEY FINALLY GETS HER CHANCE!

Zoey in her new home!
Dog rescuers are addicted to finding loving homes for unwanted, abandoned and abused dogs.  We find great joy in seeing a dog that someone cast away without a second thought become a part of a family that will love him/her forever.

Every adoption makes us happy - BUT there is nothing MORE satisfying than seeing a dog that has been sitting in rescue for a long time, overlooked by other adopters, finally find a family to love.  This is the case with Zoey.

Zoey came to PAWS in August 2011, physically broken but full of love.
Zoey when rescued 08/2011

Through the care of PAWS volunteers, Lisa & Leanne, Zoey healed and turned into a healthy, happy dog - but we just could not seem to get anyone to meet her or take her home.

Finally, a few weeks ago, a wonderful family applied to adopt Zoey - and fell in love.  After a long long wait - Zoey is now a part of a family!  We at PAWS are over the moon with happiness!

Thank you to Zoey's new family for seeing what a special girl she is and for giving her the home that she deserves.

Happy trails Zoey!

HAPPY ENDING FOR JAYDEN!

Jayden with his new Dad

We are thrilled to announce happy news for Jayden!  If you recall, Jayden was facing an urgent situation having to leave his foster home last month and no place to go.

A WONDERFUL family stepped up to foster Jayden.  He has been in their care for almost a month now and after an adjustment period is thriving.  We received word earlier this week that Jayden's foster family wants to make him a permanent member of their family.

We could not be happier for this sweet boy - who has been bounced around too much in his short life.

Thank you to Jayden's adoptive family for being patient with him and for giving him the love that he deserves!

Thank you all for sharing Jayden's story and for making this happy ending possible.

THE "N" PUPPIES NEED YOUR HELP!

Nick
Nick, Nate and Nan are three of a litter of 5 pups that were rescued from under an abandoned house. It took a week of visits and feeding and coaxing for us to rescue these pups. One of the siblings decided to come out on his own only to get stuck in a nearby culvert! PAWS volunteers, Lisa, Leanne and Jennifer worked with local authorities to free the pup.

Finally the litter made it to safety. They have spent the last few weeks thriving in foster care and have a rescue to go to, with adoptive homes waiting.

Over the last few days, three of the five puppies have come down with Parvo. Nick was the first to fall ill - and has almost fully recovered - but now Nate and Nan are sick and at the vet clinic. We pray that the remaining two pups remain healthy!

These cuties have been through so much and have a promising future ahead of them. Please consider chipping in to their urgent vet care!

If you are more comfortable donating directly to the vet clinic - They are at Grace Animal Hospital. You can call them at (901) 685-8205 to make a donation or you can send them a check at 668 South Main Street, Memphis, TN 38103. No amount is to small!

URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR JAYDEN! PLEASE READ!

Sweet, handsome Jayden urgently needs your help!  His foster family is no longer able to continue to foster him and he has NO PLACE TO GO.

We are a small, foster-based rescue - so we have no shelter facilty to turn to in situations like this one.  If we cannot find a foster home for Jayden with in the NEXT FEW DAYS we will have no choice but to return him to his original owner - which translates into Jayden living outside 24/7 tied to a tree...Please do not let that happen!  It will break Jayden's heart to be outside all alone with no human companionship - he LOVES snuggling with his humans.

If you can foster Jayden, please email marionangels@yahoo.com or complete our online application.

If nobody steps up to foster Jayden - and we return him to a life outside - we would like to at least buy a pen for him so that he does not have to live tied to a tree.  A pen large and strong enough for Jayden costs approximately $300.  Throw in a good dog house and a cover for the pen and that will be another $200.  Please consider donating to help us make that purchase for him.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Foster or Adopt Jayden -  Fostering saves lives!

Make a donation towards a pen for Jayden! - if you are unable to foster or adopt - please support Jayden financially so that we can purchase a pen for him. We receive no municipal funding and rely 100% on donations from dog lovers who believe that every dog deserves a chance at love and a home.

PLEASE HELP MOMMA PENELOPE FIND HER NEW BEGINNING!

Some of you may remember when we rescued Momma Penelope and her two pups, Pugsly and Petunia many moons ago.

The good news is that both pups went off to rescue in New England and started their new lives as beloved family members.

Sadly, Penelope is still with us - waiting for her turn at the home and family she deserves.  Penelope was a WONDERFUL momma to her pups - and deserves only the best from life going forward.  We need your help to provide this sweet girl with her chance at love and life.

Penelope came to very underweight, in bad shape, with an old leg injury that had not been treated and also heartworm positive.  She has finally found an indoor foster home, is healthy enough to start heartworm treatment and then will need leg surgery to correct her old injury.  Penelope's upcoming medical expenses will exceed $1000 and  - as usual - our veterinary funds are depleted.

Please chip in to help Penelope raise the funds she needs for her medical care.

Prefer donating directly to the vet clinic for Petunia's care? Call 901-826-0292, or email: marionangels@yahoo.com for the veterinary contact information.

Penelope is such a sweet girl!

Look at this face!

We need your help to spread the word as our small rescue is bursting at the seams!

These siblings are living with a man at in a wheelchair who is not able to give them the attention they need. We were able to handle them for pictures without issue. They will do fine once they are in a home and have people to spend time with them.
