ABANDONED, MALNOURISHED PUPPIES NEED YOUR HELP!

Meet the "J-Pups" - just another throw-away litter of unwanted puppies...we see too many of them in our rescue, but that does not stop us from wanting to cry every time we find another litter. It is heartbreaking to see innocent, defenseless animals abandoned like trash.

Although they look sad, sickly and pitiful in these pictures, the "J-Pups" are some of the lucky ones - as they have now been rescued!  Die-hard PAWS volunteers, Lisa and Leanne coaxed these scared babies from an abandoned house.  They were covered in ticks, malnourished, missing hair, and probably would not have lasted much longer on their own.

Now these adorable puppies are safe in foster care, and hopefully, will soon be on their way to a new beginning and loving forever homes...but they need YOUR help!

Rescuing puppies that are in this condition takes money!  On top of basic vaccines, spay/neuter, etc, they will need lots of de-worming, and possible treatment for Demodex.... not to mention, a lot of high-grade puppy food.

FOUR DESERVING DOGS NEED YOUR HELP!

PAWS has four wonderful dogs in rescue right now that really need your help. Like most of the dogs over 7 months old that come to us searching for love and families  -- Arlo, Addie, Maggie and Sarah have all tested positive for Heartworm disease.  This a common disease in this area - but one that can be deadly if not treated.

We cannot send these wonderful pups off to new homes or rescues without treating them for Heartworm first.   

As a small, privately run rescue, we depend solely on donation from our dedicated supporters to give our pups the medical care they deserve and require. Heartworm treatment ranges from $300 - $400 per dog depending on weight. This is a huge expense for our small rescue.

Please help us to help Arlo, Addie, Maggie and Sarah to find their way to a new beginning by donating to their treatment.  Even $5.00, $10.00 will help a great deal!

Arlo was found as a stray wandering around all by himself. Arlo is around a year old. Arlo is very sweet and loves kids, cats, and other dogs. Arlo does not meet a stranger. Arlo is a typical 1 year old lab who loves to play but he also loves to lay with you on the couch.

Addie is a 1.5 year old Yellow Lab mix. Addie was left behind when her owners moved. Addie is a very sweet girl and she walks well on a leash. Addie is doing great with the other dogs in her foster home and she loves kids.

 

Maggie is a 4 year old shepherd/boxer mix. Maggie was surrendered to us because her previous owner no longer wanted her. Maggie is very sweet. She shares her foster home with other dogs and gets along with them all. Maggie loves everyone she meets.

 

Sarah is an 8 month old border collie mix. She was rescued from an abandoned house where she was living all alone except when someone would come by to feed her. She is very sweet and is still very much a puppy. She has been around small dogs and did great with them.

THESE THREE PUPS ARE OUT OF TIME! PLEASE HELP!

Please save me and my siblings!

We have been begging for months for help with these pups - but now they are out of time and the situation has become critical.

When PAWS originally became involved there were 6 in this litter that needed help - but thanks to you all - we were able to find placement for three.  Unfortunately, the remaining three pups have not found placement and continue to live outside in a pen together where they are not receiving the socialization or attention they need.

The person who rescued these pups can no  longer afford to provide for them and will bring them to the shelter if we can not find immediate foster/adoptive or rescue placements for them. Most likely these pups, being black and a year old, will not make it out of the shelter alive.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Here is a little information about each remaining siibling:

Winnie (F), Minnie (F) and Henry (M) are Black Lab/Malinois mixes. They have now turned one year old and have been living outside in one pen since November.  All three have been spayed/neutered. Minnie and Henry are up to date with their rabies and are heartworm negative. Winnie has not been to the vet yet for vaccines.  All three will be updated as soon as we have a placement option for them.

Minnie and Henry are good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Winnie is good with cats and dogs and was unsure about the child she met but did eventually go up to him. Winnie is the shyest of the group but once she warms up she is a lovely girl.

These pups will need patience and understanding in their new homes as living outside they have missed key human/dog socialization time.

Please help us to help these sweet dogs before it is too late.

ZOEY FINALLY GETS HER CHANCE!

Dog rescuers are addicted to finding loving homes for unwanted, abandoned and abused dogs.  We find great joy in seeing a dog that someone cast away without a second thought become a part of a family that will love him/her forever. 

Every adoption makes us happy - BUT there is nothing MORE satisfying than seeing a dog that has been sitting in rescue for a long time, overlooked by other adopters, finally find a family to love.  This is the case with Zoey.

Through the care of PAWS volunteers, Lisa & Leanne, Zoey healed and turned into a healthy, happy dog - but we just could not seem to get anyone to meet her or take her home. 

Finally, a few weeks ago, a wonderful family applied to adopt Zoey - and fell in love.  After a long long wait - Zoey is now a part of a family!  We at PAWS are over the moon with happiness!

Thank you to Zoey's new family for seeing what a special girl she is and for giving her the home that she deserves.

HAPPY ENDING FOR JAYDEN!

We are thrilled to announce happy news for Jayden!  If you recall, Jayden was facing an urgent situation having to leave his foster home last month and no place to go.

A WONDERFUL family stepped up to foster Jayden.  He has been in their care for almost a month now and after an adjustment period is thriving.  We received word earlier this week that Jayden's foster family wants to make him a permanent member of their family.

We could not be happier for this sweet boy - who has been bounced around too much in his short life.

Thank you to Jayden's adoptive family for being patient with him and for giving him the love that he deserves!

THE "N" PUPPIES NEED YOUR HELP!

Nick, Nate and Nan are three of a litter of 5 pups that were rescued from under an abandoned house. It took a week of visits and feeding and coaxing for us to rescue these pups. One of the siblings decided to come out on his own only to get stuck in a nearby culvert! PAWS volunteers, Lisa, Leanne and Jennifer worked with local authorities to free the pup.

Finally the litter made it to safety. They have spent the last few weeks thriving in foster care and have a rescue to go to, with adoptive homes waiting.

Over the last few days, three of the five puppies have come down with Parvo. Nick was the first to fall ill - and has almost fully recovered - but now Nate and Nan are sick and at the vet clinic. We pray that the remaining two pups remain healthy!

These cuties have been through so much and have a promising future ahead of them. Please consider chipping in to their urgent vet care!
