HAPPY UPDATE - ZAC!

We love to receive happy updates on our rescued pups! We received the following pictures and narrative from Zac's adoptive family.

Zac is doing great. We didn't change his name because we thought he had enough to contend with adjusting to a new home.

He is in his sixth week of obedience training and doing wonderfully. He weighs about 44 lbs and has grown, but I don't think that he will get a whole lot bigger. We sent a DNA sample to a lab in Nebraska that will tell us what his "mix" is and are awaiting the results.

He is the most affectionate animal we have ever seen and still, despite his size, thinks that he is a lap dog. He has to touch, lean, or lay on one. He is not "an alpha male" and doesn't want to be top dog. He just wants to love you and be with you.

He gets lots of attention and seems to need it. Zac has bonded with one of the cats and they sleep on my bed. With the other cat, there's a wary truce, although when she is in a bad mood, she chases him around the house.

Zac was easy to house break and stays in the yard, even though we don't have a fence. I am always out there with him, but when I get involved in a project and he disappears, all I have to do is call him and he comes running immediately.

We adore him and feel terribly lucky to have found a dog who is so in tune with us and so loving. Thank you! Anne

Zac came to PAWS as a puppy - it is so rewarding to see him grown, happy, healthy and loved! Thank you to our rescue partners for finding such great homes for our dogs and to Anne for giving Zac everything he needs and deserves.
