Another happy ending for a PAWS pup! Lily came to our rescue in May 2011. Being a black dog, Lily had very little chance of adoption here - as for whatever reason - black dogs are overlooked especially larger breed black dogs.
Lily was a lucky girl - and ended up heading to our rescue partner in New England last July. We just received the following update and pictures from her adoptive family:
Lily is doing great! She has grown quite a bit since we got her and has made friends with our chickens and horses. She is so much better with strangers. She is still tentative at first but settles right in quickly once she realizes they are not a threat to her. We adore her…I think she finally feels like she has a home now. I have attached a few pictures…they were from this past late fall (all I have on my work computer). Teresa
